CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IN THE NEWS General Films, Inc. November 29, 2020 Christmas Spirit and Innovation Shine at the 2020 Christmas Event The General Films Christmas party is typically a time for our associates to gather and celebrate the holidays with a festive dinner. Due to the coronavirus, this annual tradition was reformatted to ensure everyone could stay safe, healthy, and socially distanced. The new format was initially planned as an outdoor gathering, like an old-fashioned Christmas Market, but the pandemic issues continued...which required us to change the event once again. This time, we created a Drive-thru experience, with several individual tents arranged around the GF facility for our associates and their families to enjoy. The Drive-thru included many stops with gift items, kettle corn, hot cocoa, a food truck, Santa, holiday lights, and more. GF employees, including the senior leadership team and the Sunshine Committee, staffed each tent. The event provided a great opportunity to individually thank our associates for their dedication to GF and express appreciation for their outstanding effort during such a challenging year. Although it was a different approach, we were pleased to continue our annual GF Christmas tradition - and It was a wonderful day to celebrate and enjoy the holiday season! BACK

At General Films, we celebrate our most valuable assets – our employees. EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Katie Roseberry Night Shift Supervisor, Converting It’s all in the family for Katie – both her traditional family but also her work family. Her connections, like many at General Films, are generational. Family ties weave through GF and are passed down through parents or siblings. Katie’s stepmother Leann was a 19-year employee at General Films. When Leann retired for health reasons, she suggested to Katie, who was 19 at the time, that she should apply for the job. Without any hesitation, Katie jumped at the chance. In fact, Leann drove her to her interview. Katie was offered a position, and she happily accepted and has been a valued employee for GF for 14 years. “I feel like I have grown up right here at General Films. The people I work with I consider my family. I enjoy our work environment and the camaraderie. The mood is always upbeat, and the support I receive from my co-workers is something special.” Katie likes that she and all employees have direct and open access to management and departments like HR. They are always very responsive and helpful. Gus and Erin have worked hard and stayed on top of personnel issues like employee retention and training protocols, and that extra effort is noticed and appreciated. “Even the president, Tim Weikert, is accessible and in touch with the entire team. He cares about us, knows our names, and takes a genuine interest in what we are doing on the job and at home. He is always asking me how my stepmom is doing.” One of the most appealing benefits for Katie about working at GF is the 10-hour, 4-day work week that allows for a 3-day weekend. Katie says, “it provides more time for family and to just do the things that need to get done.” Katie looks forward to a long career at General Films. She appreciates the company and what they mean to her and her family. Katie is married, and they have four-legged family members. Rescue pups Storm- (husky) and Tyrion “Bubs” cockapoo (cocker spaniel poodle mix). Katie and her husband are heavily involved in the 501st Legion. She jokingly states that the 501st Legion is “bad guys doing good.” The 501st Legion is an international Disney and Lucas Film-affiliated charity group where members dress in authentic Star Wars costumes and volunteer to raise money for The Ronald McDonald House, Dayton Children’s, and the Cincinnati Center for Autism, to name a few. Katie receives great joy in seeing the smiles on the faces of the children they entertain and serve. BACK

At General Films, we celebrate our most valuable assets – our employees. EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Heather Falknor Converting Day Crew Heather’s caring nature seemed destined and well-suited to the culture at General Films. Her career background in elder care, in-home care, and retail management played to her strengths as a people person and one who loves to connect and give to others. Because of health reasons, Heather was out of the workforce for a few years. She started to actively ease back into work through a temp agency which included a position at General Films. That evolved into a full-time position at GF, which is fortunate not only for Heather but for General Films. Heather works on a day shift crew on the converting lines. What first struck Heather about GF is the company culture of family first. She and her shift mates produce bags for various end customers and markets. They have bonded and have become friends and family. “As soon as I started at General Films, I could feel the sense of family and that we take care of each other. That was important to me after not working for an extended period for health reasons. I just knew I was in the right place for me.” The best part is that they have each other’s backs. If someone is down or is experiencing issues, we rally around to support and encourage them. Whether it is one of the people on my shift, my supervisor, or senior management, I feel we always have each other’s backs. “The management team at General Films has been outstanding. They are very approachable; I never have to ask for anything because they are forward-thinking and proactively take care of my and our team’s needs.” During her days off, Heather enjoys spending time with her 15-year-old son. Her hobbies include arts & crafts and crocheting. But her true passion is collecting and nurturing indoor plants. Heather is thankful for the opportunity at General Films and looks forward to a long and happy career as a dedicated and grateful employee. BACK
