Night Shift Supervisor

TALK WITH AN EXPERT.png

Brenda is a lifelong resident of Piqua. She graduated from Piqua high school and boasts an impressive background in manufacturing, including IPC, NOV, and others. She also brings extensive qualifications and experience in production and quality management.

Brenda’s leadership skills bring value to the GF team through 30-plus years of supervisory skills, a collaborative mindset, team building, and a passion for giving her all in whatever she does. That approach and philosophy weave well into the General Films’ culture.

Brenda knew of General Films during her tenure at IPC in purchasing department as she procured GF films and came to appreciate the value of the product and the people. Through that professional relationship, he was approached and ultimately hired by General Films in a supervisory capacity.

“As soon as I started at General Films, I could sense it was a great place for me. My co-workers have been terrific to work with, and we all share the desire to do our best for the company and, most importantly, our customers.”

Brenda appreciates her schedule of 12-hour variable shifts that offer 3-day weekends every other week. She also finds tangible benefits working at GF fit her family's needs, such as 401K and substantial insurance, including the dental/vision package.

Brenda is impressed with the “hands-on” leadership style starting with Tim Weikert, president, and throughout the leadership team. She soon noticed and has come to especially respect and appreciate Mark Werhan, the plant manager.

“I truly like Mark. His earthy style allows him to be respected by the team while still overseeing the facilities demanding production schedules. I consider him the best I have worked for.”

Brenda points out a simple but important act exemplifying the company culture: The fact that management takes the time to send out “congratulatory” emails to the teams if they have a particularly productive shift. That means a lot to her and her co-workers.

Brenda comes from a large family of 10 brothers and sisters. She has a daughter and two grandkids that are the love of her life. During her free time, Brenda acts out her Christian beliefs of helping others in any way she can.
