Our polyethylene manufacturing lines can run tubing from 9 inches to 12 feet. We have 3 and 5 layer lines which can run coextrusions of polyethylene, polyester, nylon, and EVOH. Our extrusion facility is equipped to produce tubing, sheeting, bags on rolls, or customized products. Our experienced staff is well-trained to manufacture high quality products in a timely and efficient manner.

Converting

General Films manufactures a wide range of individually cut bags with either a bottom seal, side seal, or side weld. These versatile bags are ideal for hand packing operations or multi-station packaging. Construction of the bag is designed to your specifications from LLDPE, LDPE, and EVA, or 3 and 5 layer coextrusions. We manufacture a wide range of standardized sizes or we can produce specially made custom bags. Our converting crew provides a hands-on approach and an eye for detail that results in high quality products for our customers.

Special Services

Using color can be an effective way to promote or identify your company or product. We offer a wide range of tinted and opaque colors depending on your preferences. If you'd like to add colorful logos, bold graphics, and important product information, we can arrange for printing of up to 6 colors. We also have in-line one-color, one-side random repeat capabilities.

Product Development and Testing Laboratory

General Films has an extensive product development and testing laboratory to evaluate existing products and to develop innovative solutions for additional applications. This helps us ensure quality and enhance performance of our products. Our staff can run tests including the melt index of incoming resins, density of resin and film, tensile strength of film, seal strength of bags, impact strength of film, tear  resistance, and barrier properties. We are constantly looking for new and better ways to produce your products.
