Converter Film

GF's coextrusions are great for converters - our film is perfect for printing, laminating, or standard bag making. GF offers a wide range of polyethylene based coex, nylon, and EVOH barrier films. We combine tight tolerances, special packaging, and large mill rolls to ensure less downtime for increased throughput. Our custom manufacturing allows film to be tailored to meet your specific requirements.

Modified Atmosphere Packaging/Barrier Films

The coextruded construction of our MAP bags and film provides an excellent heat seal layer, ensuring the modified atmosphere remains intact.  Depending on the gas, flavor, or aroma barrier required, we can extend product life by customizing the film for each application. The broad range of products that can benefit from these films include: meats, spices, cheese, nuts, molding compounds, circuit boards, and metal products.

Poultry Film

Extended shelf life and quality appearance of whole birds, parts, or shelf ready tray packs are among the benefits of General Film's vacuum/dry pack poultry bags. Our pinhole free coextruded film provides tailored moisture, oxygen, and carbon dioxide barriers for better product protection. A special seal layer provides a wide seal temperature range in ever changing plant conditions.  Our film is also specially compounded for ease of handling to increase productivity. Even the sharpest bone-in product can be successfully packaged with this puncture resistant film.

Bulk Cheese Packaging

General Films manufactures bulk cheese packaging for 40 lb. tower blocks, 500 lb. barrels, and 640 lb. blocks. Our packaging is coextruded for maximum versatility on chamber and vacuum sealing equipment. The film is a clear, medium barrier, five layer coextruded film. The film is versatile because of its flexibility, toughness, heat sealability and precise gas and water transmission rates. Our bulk cheese packaging features superior physical properties and offers the appropriate shelf life to meet your short and long hold product needs.

Produce Film

Precut lettuce, salad mix, and other produce can benefit from General Film's produce packaging. Longer shelf live, excellent taste, color, and freshness can be obtained with this coextruded film or bag. Oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor barriers are designed with each produce group in mind. A wide heat seal range assures quick, tight vacuum closures.

Industrial Coex Film

Many applications require the enhanced strength only a coextrusion can provide. By using multiple layers of different materials, impact resistance and tear strength can be significantly improved over standard films or bags. Other hard to package items may require the ease of loading that a differential slip coex can provide.
